Stasia Gambino is a Romani-Russian screenwriter based in Los Angeles . She owns an art studio in DTLA, the Lazarus Place, where she creates for commission and animates her music and poetry. She is currently working on a live sketch comedy show as co-writer and director. She wrote her debut feature, Rubina, while simultaneously caring for her newborn daughter. Anastasia's adoption from Russia in 1997 has lent her an uncommon perspective on life and informed her darkly comedic narrative writing.
